MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELLING

I create a judgement-free environment and provide a discreet service ensuring confidentiality & anonymity. To begin the journey, I like to create and develop a professional and safe relationship.
Counselling is a journey where issues and stresses can ultimately be resolved through discussions and therapeutic techniques. Working within an integrative framework, I incorporate elements of theoretical approaches. These include Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Psychodynamic Approaches.
This allows me to offer an individual model of counselling and therapy that fits the individual whilst offering a unique and personal experience.

MENTALIZATION BASED THERAPY (MBT)

MBT is particularly useful for people who suffer from long-term difficulties in relationships and who experience intense emotional distress and overwhelming feelings which may result in destructive behaviours such as self-harm or aggression towards others.
MBT is also beneficial for those who may be distrustful of others and have difficulty in reading other people’s reactions and responses towards them.
Individuals with borderline personality disorder have responded very well to metalization-based therapy with symptom improvement sustained years after the end of treatment.

MBT SUPERVISION

As a fully qualified MBT supervisor, I can offer supervision for MBT practitioners or professionals that are using this model in their practice. I offer individual, small group or team supervision.
Supervision of MBT sessions provide extremely beneficial feedback which will help improve the output of the sessions for both the host as well as the client.
